Lawrence S. Frank, M.D.

Dr. Lawrence S. Frank, M.D., is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over 20 years of experience treating eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eyes, and performing all laser PRK and cataract surgery.

He uses CATALYS® femtosecond laser for laser-assisted cataract surgery and Wavetec ORA. He also offers the latest technology intraocular lenses for providing the best vision after cataract surgery (Toric and multifocal intraocular lenses).

He received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and his medical doctorate from the George Washington University of Medicine and Health Sciences, where he interned in internal medicine and performed his ophthalmology residency. Afterwards, Dr. Frank joined the military as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force where he was also a former Captain and Chief of Aeromedical Services. He has also served as the Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology at the University.

Dr. Frank was nominated by the Washingtonian magazine as one of the area’s Top Doctors due to his reputation as an ophthalmologist that other physicians would choose for their family members. He is licensed in Maryland and his affiliations include the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the Maryland Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and the Montgomery County Medical Society.
